Regan De Wynter Williams Producers of fine theatre

After the phenomenal success of the European premiere of A Man of No Importance directed by Ben De Wynter at the Union Theatre in November 2009, the show transferred to The Arts Theatre with the original cast starring Olivier Award winner Paul Clarkson.(originator of Harry in Mama Mia).

Based on the film of the same name, A Man of No Importance is a chamber musical set in 1960s Dublin with Book by Terrence McNally, Music by Stephen Flaherty and Lyrics by Lynn Ahrens. It has a charmingly unconventional hero, Alfie Byrne; a middle-aged, poetry-reciting bus conductor by day and director of the local church amateur dramatics group, The St Emelda Players by night!

The production reviews were overwhelming, including Time Out Critic’s Choice and one of the Top Six Musicals of 2009 as reviewed by The Stage.
